David Warner ruled out of tri-series in the West Indies. While fielding in the last match against South Africa , he had pain in the left-hand index finger.  Warner may need surgery for a broken finger.

Australia’s team doctor Geoffrey Verrall said, “The X-Ray showed an intra-articular fracture of the distal phalanx of the index finger of the left hand – the top part of that finger”

Their 4th match of the series will be held against  West Indies. The match will be held in  St. Kitts Warner Park.

Warner’s injury may mean a recall for Glenn Maxwell, following the all rounder’s poor displays in the opening two matches of the tournament. Usman Khawaja is likely to move up the order to partner Aaron Finch for Monday’s match against the West Indies.

Earlier, Australia at the top of the table with nine points in three matches at the ground. South Africa won three matches and second position in the score table with five points.
